BREWED IN CIRENCESTER: FORCE BREWERY - A BOTTLED HISTORY
Establishing Force Brewery as a new thread in the vast tapestry of brewing began in January 2014 with a small foothold in the Cotswold capital of Cirencester. Knocking out easy drinking ales on a 4 barrel kit, the brewery soon developed a loyal, local and thirsty following. The brewery shop and tap gave all-comers the chance to enjoy the brews and get to know the brand. A portfolio of 8 beers drummed up interest from all quarters and it wasn't long before Force Brewery nectar had travelled the length and breadth of the British Isles, as well as a few forays further afield. With attention to detail and flexibility forming the cornerstones of the business, running batches of bespoke branded beer for private parties or corporate events became a natural fit. Since those heady days, Force Brewery has changed step, and the portfolio of the business has expanded. There is more to come....
WHO DID THIS AND WHY? BEARSKIN TO BREWHOUSE
Blowing the not inconsiderable froth off a few during a posting to East Africa, Charles Malet, ex-Coldstream Guards, began to grow the kernel of an idea. After all, what better way to learn if you really can organise a piss up in a brewery? Via a firkin of academic and practical retraining, Force Brewery started to take shape. Offered in various forms for millennia, beer presents itself as the perfect tool with which to craft a deft, flexible and multi-faceted business from scratch.
